The Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe was created in 1920 in honor of the victorious troops who marched under the Arc de Triomphe on July 14, 1919. This world-renowned sporting event takes place every first weekend of October and brings together the best thoroughbreds and jockeys from around the world — winners of the year’s most prestigious flat races.

The greatest horse race in the world takes place on Sunday over a distance of 2,400 meters, in front of more than 45,000 spectators. Six additional races and numerous activities complete the day’s thrilling program.
